Collaboration is crucial in any project involving multiple people.

So why should therapy be any different?

ABOUT

I'm Laura Welch, a licensed clinical social worker with a focus on mental health and substance abuse. I’m dedicated to delivering evidence-based treatments while always considering your unique needs and values. My passion lies in empowering women to prioritize their mental health and achieve transformative changes.

I aim to challenge my clients constructively when appropriate, all while equipping them with effective coping skills for moments of distress. My approach integrates both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with a focus on narrative therapy to address trauma.

I am deeply passionate about my work, and this enthusiasm is evident in our sessions. It is both an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with your journey and to create a safe space where vulnerability is embraced as a source of strength.

In my free time, I unwind by getting outside, listening books/ podcasts, cooking, and spending time with my family and dog daughter.

ADULTS

Feeling off-balance or overwhelmed by negative thought patterns and unhelpful habits? Maybe it’s time to explore new approaches to bring about meaningful change in your life.

If you've been recognizing the need for support but haven’t yet taken the step, know that you're not alone. I understand these struggles both professionally and personally.

With extensive experience in guiding adults through life's challenges, I specialize in addressing mental health and substance abuse issues. Let’s work together to navigate these obstacles and create the positive changes you're seeking.

PRE-TEENS ADOLESCENTS

Are you noticing changes in your child's behavior, like increased isolation, frequent outbursts, intense fixations, or impulsivity? These signs might indicate that your child or teen could benefit from therapy.

Therapy can not only help your teen but also positively impact your entire family. I encourage active parental involvement in the process.

My goal is to create a supportive and safe space where your teen can freely express themselves, work towards their goals, build effective coping skills, and develop healthier thought patterns. I provide evidence-based individual therapy for ages 12-18 and am flexible with scheduling to accommodate your family's needs.
